Découvrez SPRINGBOK la formule renouvelée et élargie du projet BOUNCE, initié en 2012 autour de l’organiste Matthieu Marthouret. Une instrumentation peu commune faisant la part belle au souffle, au groove et à la mélodie.
Le quartet SPRINGBOK propose un répertoire original aux sonorités nourries de la riche histoire du jazz. Quatre musiciens soudés et investis jouant un jazz vivant et chaleureux.
SIX FOR BILL est une composition originale écrite pour le premier album de BOUNCE TRIO “Smalls Streams…Big Rivers” publié en 2014.
Ce titre fait référence au grand batteur de Bill Stewart qui a exercé une influence majeure dans le jazz contemporain des années 1990-2000. Découvrez la version réorchestrée spécialement pour le quartet SPRINGBOK.

SPRINGBOK is the new version of organist Matthieu Marthouret’s BOUNCE project, started in 2012. An uncommon quartet featuring tenor saxophone, trumpet, organ and drums.
SPRINGBOK’s répertoire is nurtured with the whole history of modern jazz. SPRINGBOK regroups four dedicated musicians playing contemporary jazz rooted in the rich history of this art form.
SIX FOR BILL is an original composition written around 2013 and published on BOUNCE TRIO’s début album “Smalls Streams…Big Rivers”. This track is a tribute to contemporary jazz drummer Bill Stewart, one of the most influential drummers of the last three decades. Listen to the new version especially arranged for the new project SPRINGBOK, in a quartet setting.
