Homeland(s) est le fruit d’une rencontre humaine et musicale entre le pianiste Matthieu Marthouret, le joueur de tabla Mosin Kawa et le guitariste Antonin Fresson. Ce projet à l’instrumentation inédite voit le jour en 2019 autour d’un répertoire de créations originales.
On y retrouve le tandem piano guitare au discours complémentaire et équilibré, à la sonorité enveloppante, parfois douce et caressante, parfois rugueuse et rugissante, se mariant parfaitement avec les tablas Indiens à la fois chantants et incisifs.

Une instrumentation ouvrant des horizons de textures sonores, couleurs et rythmes infinis produisant une musique organique, pleine de nuances et de contrastes.

Le titre ZAMIN signifie “terre”, il est utilisé dans la région du Rajasthan en Inde du nord pour évoquer l’équilibre et l’harmonie spirituelle.

The word ZAMIN, commonly used in the Rajasthan, region of North India, means « land ». It also evokes balance and spiritual harmony.

Homeland(s) is the result of a human and musical encounter between pianist Matthieu Marthouret, tabla player Mosin Kawa and guitarist Antonin Fresson. This project with original instrumentation was born in 2019.

Homeland(s) highlights the piano – guitar tandem with its complementary and balanced speech, an enveloping sound, sometimes soft and caressing, sometimes rough and roaring, marrying perfectly with Indian tablas both singing and incisive.
An instrumentation opening horizons of sound textures, colors and infinite rhythms producing organic music, full of nuances and contrasts.
